What if you owned facebook?

So, i’m considering the idea of creating a social network soon, and with that in mind, here’s a question for you guys: 

What if you woke up one day and you found out you were the owner of Facebook, and you had the power to change it however you wanted.

What would you change? What features would you add or remove? Would you change it completely or just a few things?

  7. willesqueleto said: I’d tone it doooooown. Facebook has too many additional unnecessary features. I hate that it tries to automatically shift what posts I see based on what I’ve liked, and all that nonsense. I would bring it back to how it was shortly after it got popular.

  9. spiffydude said: I’d remove stories, reintegrate messaging directly into the main app, and probably separate out your newsfeed into two sections: things made/posted/shared by people you know, and things made/shared/posted by pages/companies/celebrities/etc. I like the “on this day feature,” but sometimes it’s also sad. It would be nice if when a major life event happened that is generally considered as sad it prompted you to remove the related things from your page or hide them from the “throwback” feature.

The groups and event feature works really well. I don’t like that it tracks who’s posts I like and then assumes I need to see all their stuff first. I’d like to have it so certain people can’t see certain posts. Also, do not tell anyone where I am or what music I’m listing to, please. Honestly, I’m only on Facebook because I have to be at this point.

I want it to be more cute I like how it remind birthday… other than that is nah! doesn’t like Facebook much.

I like the instant messenger app a lot tho. That’s about the only thing I like about Facebook.
